Saturday, May 12
vs. Phoenix Rising FC
Kickoff – 7:00 p.m. at ONEOK Field

The Tulsa Roughnecks FC will play its second home match in four days on Saturday night in what will be the first of two meetings this season with Phoenix Rising FC and former Chelsea F.C. striker Didier Drogba.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM in downtown Tulsa, and the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free TRFC flag. In addition, there will be a pre-game clinic where the Roughnecks players will teach and sharpen kids’ soccer skills.

All of Saturday’s activities are presented by Pepsi, FOX23 and Mix 96.

The Roughnecks come into the game with a five-match unbeaten streak, which equals the longest unbeaten run in franchise history. They have not lost a game since March 31.  After starting the season with three losses, Tulsa has gotten five draws in each of the past five games.

TRFC has two previously had five-game unbeaten runs, including July 1-31 of last season and August 2-15 of the 2015 season.

The Rising also comes into the match with a five-match unbeaten streak, including a 3-0 win at Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Phoenix has gone 3-0-2 during that stretch.

After being held without a goal in three of their first four matches, the Roughnecks have now found the back of the net in four straight games. Paris Gee picked up his fourth assist of the season on Wednesday which is tied with three other players for the most in the league.

Saturday’s match will mark the second of three straight games in Tulsa for the Roughnecks. On Wednesday, May 16, TRFC will host NPSL side Wichita FC at the University of Tulsa Soccer and Track Stadium in the second round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

Tickets for Saturday’s match, and next Wednesday’s Open Cup game, are currently available online by clicking HERE, over the telephone at (918) 744-5901 or in person at the stadium ticket office.
