Tulsa Roughnecks FC defender Modou Jadama has been honored by the USL with a spot on the league’s Team of the Week. It is the first time Jadama has received a spot on the elite squad.
The 23-year-old native of Gambia scored his first goal of the season last week to help the Roughnecks rally from a two-goal deficit and claim a 2-2 draw on the road against LA Galaxy II. In addition, he completed 75 of his 82 attempted passes during the match.
Jadama has been a key contributor for TRFC this season, appearing in all 15 matches in which he has been eligible to play, including 14 starts. His two assists are tied for the second most on the team this year.
The honor comes prior to the biggest test of the season for Jadama and his defensive mates. The Roughnecks will host Phoenix Rising FC and its international superstars Didier Drogba and Omar Bravo this Saturday at ONEOK Field.
