Saturday, April 1 – Kickoff at 7:00PM
vs. Rio Grande Valley Toros

Tulsa Roughnecks FC is back in action this Saturday, April 1, for its second match of the USL season.  The Roughnecks are hosting the Rio Grande Valley Toros at ONEOK Field with kickoff scheduled for 7:00PM. 

It will be T-Shirt Night with the first 1,500 fans of all ages entering the stadium through the Oil Derrick and Arvest Entrances receiving a special design 2017 Roughnecks T-Shirt courtesy of HillcrestTulsa’s Channel 8 and 97.5 KMOD.

Match activities will actually begin at 5:30PM with the first McDonald’s Youth Clinic of the season.  Youth players, ages 4-14, attending the match can come early to participate in a free, pre-game clinic with Roughnecks coaches and players on the ONEOK Field pitch. 

Activities will continue after the match with our Post-Game Party at Lefty’s on Greenwood with fans having the opportunity to meet the Roughnecks players and staff. 

The Roughnecks and Toros both opened their seasons last weekend.  TRFC opened with a 4-1 victory over Colorado Springs before nearly 5,000 fans in downtown Tulsa.  After surrendering an early goal, the Roughnecks got a free-kick goal from Juan Caffa, a pair of goals from Ian Svantesson and a late strike from Francisco Ugarte to record the win.

H-E-B Park.

Roughnecks head coach David Vaudreuil will have an expanded roster for the second match.  Mo Jadama and Matej Dekovic received federation clearance this week and will be available for Vaudreuil.  Dekocic is on loan from the Chicago Fire of MLS.

The Toros are in their second year as an affiliate of the Houston Dynamo.

Saturday’s meeting marks the first of two matchups in four weeks between the two sides.  TRFC will play it first road match of the season on April 22 in Rio Grande Valley.

The match also marks another meeting with a 2016 USL playoff team for TRFC.  The Roughnecks first eight matches of the year come against playoff teams from last season.

The first 1,500 fans entering through the Oil Derrick and Arvest Entrances will receive a special 2017 Roughnecks T-Shirt compliments of Hillcrest, Tulsa’s Channel 8 and 97.5 KMOD. 
Youth players, ages 4-14, can participate in the McDonald’s Soccer Clinic beginning at 5:30PM with the Roughnecks players and coaches.  Players need to come dressed appropriately with sneakers to participate in the on-field clinic.  

The night will conclude with the official After Party at Lefty’s On Greenwood, located across the street from ONEOK Field on the corner of Greenwood Avenue and Archer Street.
