Two days later, on Sunday, July 3, TRFC will host San Antonio FC.  Huge Fireworks Spectaculars will follow each match in celebration of the Independence Holiday.

Tulsa enters the weekend with 8 points in 14 matches with a 2-10-2 record.  Arizona and San Antonio will enter with identical 4-5-5 records and with 17 points each.

Arizona is currently on a four-match unbeaten streak, including draws in its last two matches, 1-1 at Rio Grande Valley and 1-1 vs. Sacramento Republic.  United has suffered only two losses in its last nine outings.

San Antonio will come to Tulsa on a two-game winning streak and without a loss in its last three matches.  SAFC has recorded a 2-1 win vs. Colorado Springs and a 3-2 victory over Orange County in its last two outings.

The Roughnecks most recent action was a two-game set with the Los Angeles Galaxy II.  The set began with a 2-2 draw in Tulsa before Los Dos recorded a 2-0 win in Los Angeles last Friday.

Vs. ARIZONA UNITED SC – Friday’s match will represent the first of two meetings between the two sides this season.  Last year, Tulsa played to a 1-1 draw in Arizona before setting a franchise record for goals in a 6-3 victory in the return leg at ONEOK Field.  This year’s return leg will be played on July 30 in Arizona.

Vs. San Antonio FC – Sunday’s match will be the second of three meetings this season between the Roughnecks and San Antonio.  SAFC claimed a 3-1 home victory over Tulsa on April 30.

MANGELS RETURNS – Goalkeeper Alex Mangels saw his first action since May 18 in the loss at Los Angeles last Friday.  Mangels suffered a hamstring injury in the Roughnecks U.S. Open Cup appearance.  He and Jake Feener have split time between the posts this season, each appearing in seven games during the regular season.

ALWAYS THERE – Only four TRFC players have appeared in all 14 regular season USL contests this year.  The group consists of defenders Gary Cennerazzo, Matt Whatley and David Abidor and midfielder Brady Ballew.
Cennerazzo leads all players in minutes played.  The right back has played in 1,209 of a possible 1,260 regular season minutes.

LAGRASSA DEBUTS – Midfielder Matt LaGrassa made his Roughnecks debut in Los Angeles, entering as a second-half substitute against the Galaxy II.  LaGrassa has joined Tulsa on loan from the Sacramento Republic.

VILLALOBOS OUT – Midfielder Gustavo Villalobos will miss Friday’s match with Arizona United after being issued a red card late in Friday’s outing in Los Angeles.
Every other roster member is expected to be available for Coach Irving and his staff as injuries should not affect the team selection for the first time this season.
