It’s time to mark you spring calendars! The Tulsa Roughnecks FC home opener for the 2018 season has been set, and it will take place on Saturday, March 24. The Roughnecks will host the Real Monarchs SLC at ONEOK Field with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
It was one of two Roughnecks games that were announced today by the USL. Tulsa will open the season one week earlier, on Saturday, March 17, with a short trip to Oklahoma City to face the Energy in the first round of the 2018 Black Gold Derby.
The March 24 date marks the earliest home opener the Roughnecks have ever played, precluding last year’s opener by one day.
The Roughnecks will play a total of 34 regular season games this year with 17 games slated to be played at ONEOK Field. The complete 2018 USL schedule is expected to be released next week.
Season ticket packages are currently available through the ONEOK Field Ticket Office or by calling (918)744-5901. Individual tickets for the home opener will go on sale February 1.
The home opener capped a big day of announcements from the Roughnecks and the USL. Earlier, the conference alignments for 2018 were revealed by the league, and the Roughnecks and Chicago Fire announced a renewal of their USL/MLS affiliation.
