vs. San Antonio FC
Kickoff – 7:00 p.m. at ONEOK Field

Tulsa Roughnecks FC will look for its fourth straight home win and its second in eight days when it hosts San Antonio FC at ONEOK Field on Saturday, September 30.  The match will be a FREE Scarf Night with the first 500 fans receiving a Vamos Tulsa, Roughnecks scarf courtesy of Ruffneck Scarves, News On 6 and 97.1 The Sports Animal.  Kickoff in downtown Tulsa is set for 7:00 p.m.

Activities on Saturday will begin at 5:00pm with fans invited to the new Busch Scoreboard Bar at ONEOK Field.  All fans with tickets can enter through the Archer Street Gate and take advantage of $1 beer, soft drinks and hot dogs prior to the match.

It will be the third meeting of the year between the Roughnecks and San Antonio and the second of the regular season.  SAFC picked up a 3-1 home victory on June 17 in the first regular season game.  The two sides also met in the third round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup with TRFC picking up a dramatic win in penalty kicks after the two teams battled to a scoreless draw for 120 minutes.  The Roughnecks have never beaten San Antonio in a regular season game, losing the first four meetings over the past two seasons.

The match will kick off a run of three games in eight days for Tulsa.  On Wednesday, the Roughnecks will travel to Arizona to face the red-hot Phoenix Rising before returning home to host the Seattle Sounders 2 next Saturday at ONEOK Field.

The Roughnecks are in pursuit of their first-ever postseason appearance and enter this week’s matches in sixth position in the USL’s Western Conference standings.  The top eight teams in each conference qualify for the playoffs.

Saturday’s activities will wrap up at the Busch Scoreboard Bar as fans of all ages are invited to stick around after the game to meet with Roughnecks players and coaches.

Tickets for Saturday’s match are currently available online by clicking HERE, over the telephone at (918)744-5901 or in person at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office.

The game will be televised live in the Tulsa area on Cox Communications on YurView Channel 1334.  The telecast will also be available on YouTube through the USL Match Center.

CORRALES JOINS FIRE FOR MIDWEEK GAME:  Defender Jorge Corrales, who signed a MLS contract last week, has joined the Chicago Fire for their Wednesday night game in San Jose.  Corrales will rejoin Tulsa in time for Saturday’s match with SAFC.

HOME MATCHES AHEAD:  The Roughnecks have four matches remaining in the regular season with three of those matches scheduled to be played at ONEOK Field.  This weekend’s game will mark the second of four straight Saturday home games for TRFC.

TRACKING THE PLAYOFF RACE:  The Western Conference postseason race is a battle between ten teams for eight playoff spots with the Roughnecks entering the weekend with 43 points in 28 matches.  Oklahoma City currently occupies the eighth and final playoff position with 40 points through 29 matches.  Orange County and Colorado Springs are in the ninth and tenth spots with 37 and 35 points after 28 and 29 matches played.
