Tulsa Roughnecks captain Juan Caffa has again been honored by the United Soccer League.  Caffa was named to the USL Team of the Week today following TRFC’s 3-0 victory over Phoenix Rising FC last weekend at ONEOK Field.  It is the fourth time this season that he has earned a spot on the elite team.

Caffa helped Tulsa take an early lead in its victory over the Rising, picking up his team-leading fifth assist with a perfectly-placed corner kick that was headed in by Ian Svantesson.  He continued to create dangerous scoring chances throughout the match as he helped the Roughnecks control play from his central, midfield position.

The win for Tulsa ended a six-match unbeaten streak for Phoenix, whose squad featured former Chelsea F.C. players Didier Drogba and Shaun Wright-Phillips.  The Rising had been undefeated since Drogba joined the team in early July.

With the win, the Roughnecks have climbed to the sixth spot in the USL’s Western Conference standings.  The victory also ran their unbeaten streak to four straight games.
