The Tulsa Roughnecks FC play the second game of a two-match road trip Wednesday night in Nevada with its first-ever meeting with Reno 1868 FC.  Kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Central Time at Reno’s Greater Nevada Field.

TRFC opened it western trip Saturday night with a 3-2 loss in Sacramento as defender Chris Christian broke a tie with a 74th minute header that gave Republic FC the victory.

The Roughnecks will enter Wednesday’s match with 12 points and a 4-4-0 USL regular season record.  The mark includes a 1-2-0 record away from ONEOK Field.

Reno comes in as one of the hottest teams in the USL, unbeaten in its last three regular season outings.  The streak includes impressive victories in its last two matches, as Reno FC has outscored Phoenix Rising and Seattle Sounders 2 by a combined score of 10-0 in the two wins.

Wednesday’s match can be viewed live on YouTube through the
USL Match Center.  Fans can go to YouTube and search for USL Match Center in order to find the broadcasts.

The Roustabouts will be hosting a Watch Party for the match at the Whiskey Dog in Broken Arrow for fans ages 21 and over.  The Whiskey Dog is located at 2408 W. New Orleans St. in Broken Arrow.

TRFC FORM
Saturday’s defeat in Sacramento ended a three-match unbeaten streak in all competitions for the Roughnecks.  Despite the loss, TRFC continued to score goals and has scored a combined total of 14 in its last four outings.  Individually, Ian Svantesson and Joey Calistri are tied for the team lead in goals scored with four each, while captain Juan Caffa has found the back of the net three times.

CONTAINING KELLY
Defensively, the Roughnecks will have to find a way to contain the dangerous Dane Kelly.  Kelly is all-time, career goal scoring leading in the USL and has been in top form recently.  The striker has registered consecutive hat tricks in his last two regular season games and leads USL with eight total goals this season.  On Tuesday, Kelly was named the USL Player of the Week for the second time this season.

UGARTE OUT
TRFC will have to try to stop Kelly without the services of defender Francisco Ugarte.  Ugarte received his fifth yellow card of the year in Saturday’s match and will serve a mandatory one-game suspension against Reno.  It will be a big loss for the Roughnecks as Ugarte has started every match this year on the backline.

BACK HOME SATURDAY FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND SOCCER AND FIREWORKS
The Roughnecks will return to Tulsa after the match and will host the Portland Timbers 2 at ONEOK Field on Saturday night.  The match will kick off the Memorial Day Weekend with soccer and a huge, post-match Fireworks Show.  Match starting time for this game moves to 7:30pm.
