Roughnecks Play In Arizona Saturday

It is the second meeting of the 2016 season between Tulsa and Arizona.  The Roughnecks claimed a 3-2 win at ONEOK Field on July 1.  Overall, it will be the fourth meeting ever between the two sides.  Last season, the Roughnecks battled to a 1-1 draw in Arizona before scoring a franchise-record six goals in a 6-3 win at ONEOK Field.

THE TWO TEAMS
TRFC will enter the match with 15 points and a 4-12-3 record through its 19 matches this season.  Arizona comes in with 21 points and a 5-7-6 mark through 18 matches.

FIRST MEETING
In Tulsa's win earlier this month, the Roughnecks scored all three of their goals in the first half with Sammy Ochoa and local products Bryce Taylor and Cristian Mata also finding the back of the net.

RECENT FORM
The Roughnecks enter the match with two wins and a draw in their past five matches.  One of those wins includes the previous victory over Arizona.  United has one win and two draws in its last five.  The win was a 3-0 shutout of the Real Monarchs in its last match.

ROUGHNECKS SIGN EDGAR ESPINOZA
The Roughnecks have signed defender Edgar Espinoza(pictured right) for the remainder of the season.  Espinoza comes from Shirak F.C. of the Armenian Premier League.  Earlier in his career, the 27-year-old native of Los Angeles spent time with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the North American Soccer League.  He will be available for Saturday’s match.

OCHOA OUT
TRFC captain Sammy Ochoa will miss the match after receiving a pair of yellow cards in last week's loss to Oklahoma City.

IN THE NAVY
The Roughnecks will play in their away, all navy kits for Saturday’s match in Peoria.

SATURDAY’S BROADCASTS

Fans in Tulsa can listen to the match live on AM 1300 with Jeremie Poplin calling the action. The pregame show will begin at 9:15pm CDT.  The match will also be shown live online through the USL Match Center on YouTube.
